Kyle Zick, Founder and Principal, has practiced landscape architecture for over 27 years on project types ranging from historic sites and parks, environmentally sensitive areas, college campuses, streetscapes, residences, and commercial properties. Kyle has lectured on site design in historic contexts, trail design, and sustainable materials at the Boston Architectural College, Build Boston and the Historic Trails Conference.
Danielle, Senior Associate, has over 20 years of experience practicing landscape architecture. She has a Master of Landscape Architecture from Cornell University (2004) and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Rhode Island (1999). To this experience, she brings a passion for the American cultural landscape and while at KZLA has managed projects for Gettysburg National Military Park and Longfellow House-Washington Headquarters National Historic Site.

Yongjae Lee has been at KZLA since the company’s founding in 2010 and has played a leading role in many projects. He has extensive experience in making design concepts reality, solving complex constructability issues, and ensuring quality control throughout the construction process. He is also responsible for design alternatives, presentation graphics, and three-dimensional simulations. He is in charge of office CAD standards, as well as introducing new software programs to improve the efficiency of production. He earned his Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Rhode Island School of Design, and his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Utah State University.

Franklin Park
Rob received his BLA degree from the University of Rhode Island. He contributes skills in graphic design, 3D modeling, and a strong interest in tactical urbanism. Rob was a design winner of the Northern Avenue Bridge Competition, hosted by the City of Boston and BSA, and was the designer of the “Mytoi PopUp Park” hosted by the Trustees. He has also been selected to design and build temporary installation throughout Boston including "Trailer Made" and "Wheel'n Around". Rob was an adjunct professor at the University of Rhode Island and was one of URI's "Big Thinkers" in 2016.
Rob spends his free time working on his 300+ year-old house.

Mike has been with KZLA for over 5 years. Graduating from the University of Rhode Island with a double major in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Horticulture & Turf-Grass Management, Mike has been practicing landscape architecture since, 2013. Recently, he has been an integral part of several large-scale tree inventory and master planning projects, that have required an expertise in GIS. Outside the office, Mike is all about the “Dad-life”. You can find him chasing after his three kids, in just about every landscape setting.

Tracy joined KZLA after working at firms in the mid-Atlantic for several years. Her sustainability career originally began with the Environmental Protection Agency, and she continues to serve the public interest in her current work at KZLA. She has worked on a wide range of scales and project types including community planning, park planning and design, trail design, green infrastructure, and landscape design. She earned her master’s degree in urban planning from Virginia Tech and her master’s degree in landscape architecture from Cornell University.

Joe joined KZLA in Spring 2024 as a landscape designer with over 4 years experience designing K-12 schools and commercial public spaces. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island 2019 and his projects focused on ecological restoration projects along New England's coast . His passion is to uphold environmental stewardship and aims to design projects with respect for the natural world.
When not in the office Joe can be found hiking mountains and snowboarding. During the warm New England months, he likes to spend time in his hometown state of Rhode Island.
